Dental Hygiene:

Dental hygiene is one of the most important aspects of general dentistry. Our Registered Dental Hygienists are highly skilled and experienced in providing routine cleanings, as well as more complex procedures such as root planing and scaling. Your dental hygiene appointment goes beyond just professional teeth cleanings, this is where they have a close look at the effectiveness of your home dental care, look at the supporting tissues of your teeth, examine your periodontal pocket depths, update any needed x-rays, and answer any dental questions you may have. A dental hygienist can assist you with home care instructions and supply you with new aids to help to clean those hard-to-reach areas as well as suggest some new fancy tools. Your dental hygienist is someone that you can develop a great relationship with and is a wealth of dental knowledge.

Some patients need to visit the hygienist more often than others to help control possible periodontal disease. Untreated perio issues can affect your overall systemic health. A lot happens at your dental hygiene visit, and it is very important to visit the office as frequently as it is recommended for your personal oral health. Don’t delay your regular dental cleanings; books yours today to maintain good oral health.

Dental Emergencies:

We understand that dental emergencies can be frightening and overwhelming. Have you ever had a toothache at the start of a long weekend with no pain relief in sight!? This is just one example of a dental emergency. There is no reason to fret, we have got you covered. As your dental health care provider we are always here for you. If you are having a dental issue that cannot wait until your next appointment, simply call the office and explain your situation to our front desk staff, they will assist you with an in office appointment ASAP. If an emergency arises after hours, just give our voicemail a call, the dentist’s phone number will be listed and they will be available to talk to patients about a TRUE DENTAL EMERGENCY outside of office hours. Sometimes a toothache can start when you’re on vacation or out of town, if this happens, reach out to us. It can be as simple as reviewing your health history and prescribing a medication that could help you out until you return to the office.

Dentures:

Dentures are one of the most common types of general dentistry procedures. Our dentists are highly skilled in the fabrication and fitting of both full and partial dentures. Dentures not only improve your appearance, but also your ability to eat and speak properly.

If you are considering dentures, our dentists will perform a comprehensive evaluation to determine if they are the right solution for you. There are many types of dentures, some cover the full upper and lower arch and some dentures just fill the space of one tooth. Regardless, we can create them all with the help of a dental lab. If you need new dentures or feel that dentures could be a good option for you, let us know and we can find solutions that work!

Root Canal Treatment:

In the event that a tooth has become severely infected and is no longer salvageable, a root canal treatment may be necessary. This is a term many people find scary, but don’t worry a root canal is basically just a very large filling. If decay in a tooth goes deep enough it can reach the pulp chamber, this can cause infection and sometimes pain. Antibiotics can help to treat this but a root canal is usually the only way to solve the issue at hand. We perform this procedure under regular dental freezing, remove the pulp from the inside of the tooth and place a filling. Your tooth will look the same at the end of the procedure. Once a tooth has had the vital pulp removed it can become brittle and is at risk for fracture, that’s why most of the time a full coverage crown is recommended to help strengthen the tooth. At the end of the day, a root canal is nothing to fear and is a common practice in our dental office.

Teeth Whitening:

Teeth whitening is a popular general dentistry procedure that can help you achieve a brighter smile. Our dentists use the latest technology and techniques to provide you with the best possible results.
