Upon graduating dentistry from Western University in London, Ontario, I followed my heart and headed west to practice in the beautiful town of Jasper, Alberta. Once there I honed my skills in both dentistry and outdoor pursuits which involved skiing, hiking and climbing. In 2003 I moved to the Island where I continue to practice with a patient-centered philosophy, listening to my patients needs and providing the dentistry that works for them. When I am not in the office, you will find me on the valley trails, running, mountain biking, skiing and enjoying everything this beautiful island has to offer.

Dr. William Buck

Dr. Buck has spent the last 7 years studying and working in Australia. He has recently moved back to Canada to be closer to his family, friends and ice rinks.

Graduating from the University of Sydney with a Doctor of Dental Medicine, William has a true gift when it comes to making his patients feel comfortable in the dental environment. He is a passionate dentist and enjoys providing quality, comprehensive dental treatment that suits his patients’ needs.

Outside of work, William enjoys sports and spending time outdoors making the Comox Valley the perfect place to call home.
He is beyond excited to meet all of you and take full advantage of Island life.

Dr. Rebecca Cameron

Dr. Cameron, like many of our patients, was born and raised in the beautiful Comox Valley. After spending some time travelling, Dr. Cameron earned her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Victoria and from there went on to attend the highly regarded UBC School of Dentistry where she has earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.

Rebecca felt passionate about returning to her home here in Comox and caring for patients in her community. Here and only here she can be a part of and give back to a town that has given her so much over her lifetime. Finishing at the top of her class, Rebecca is able to provide quality dental care as well as make her patients feel at home and comfortable. She is excited to continue her education through professional development.

In her spare time Dr. Cameron enjoys hiking. spending time with her dog and getting reacquainted with her beloved hometown. We are thrilled to have her as our newest clinician at High Tide Family Dental.

Dr. Tassos Irinakis

Dr. Tassos Irinakis is a Board Certified Specialist in Periodontics and one of the current leaders in comprehensive implant patient care and implant education for dental professionals. He was the Director of Graduate Periodontics & Implant Surgery at the University of British Columbia (UBC) for nearly a decade.

He is currently a member of the faculty of dentistry at UBC as an Associate Clinical Professor.

In addition, he has served as International Faculty for the prestigious “PAADI” Dental Institute in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where we lectured graduate residents on advanced surgery techniques and treated VIP patients of the Kingdom.

Dr. Irinakis is the founder of multiple Study Clubs and Dental Educational Institutes, including:
I.D.E.A.S. Institute for Dental Education & Advanced Surgeries a hands on institute that taught for many years patient based and cadaver based hands on programs

The Vancouver Implant Study Club, an implant centred study group.

His research on bone grafting, sinus surgery and implant dentistry has been published via several articles in peer reviewed journals all over the globe.

Dr. Irinakis has been honored twice by the American Academy of Periodontology:
2005 Educator Award for Outsdanding Mentoring & Teaching in Periodontics

2010 Educator Award for Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring in the Field of Periodontics

He serves the American Academy as a reviewer of the prestigious Journal of Periodontology. Furthermore, he is a member of the editorial board for the Journal of Implant & Advanced Clinical Dentistry and a reviewer for the Oral Surgery Journal along with multiple other peer reviewed publications.

Dr. Tassos Irinakis lectures actively in study clubs, conferences and hands-on courses for dental professionals, nationally and internationally. He practices in his specialty clinics in Vancouver & Courtenay, BC.
